Cryomancer

The Cryomancer is a mage class of the Ice school. In-game description: “Uses ice magic to freeze and shatter enemies”.

Powers#

Power Effect
Magic Affinity +50% max mana.
Ice mastery +30% Ice Spell Power.
Basic Items Leather armor, 8 Bread, and a Soulbound Flimsy Journal (5 slots) with Icicle IV and Frost Step I.

Playstyle#

The Cryomancer opens with Icicle from its starting book and learns more Ice spells from scrolls as it progresses. The +30% applies to every Ice spell. Like every mage class, it has no penalty with weapons, but it has no melee bonus either. The Mage skill tree's Ice school node is Cryomancer.

Pairs well with#

  • Yeti: +100% Ice Spell Power of its own; together they raise Glacial Slam toward level 5.
  • High Elf: +50 max mana (multiplied by Magic Affinity) and +25% magic damage.
  • Faded: +30% Spell Power and more mana, at the cost of half its health; it can only take a mage class.
