Bard

The Bard is a mage class of the Sound school. In-game description: “Uses music to vanquish enemies”.

Powers#

Power Effect
Magic Affinity +50% max mana.
Sound mastery +30% Sound Spell Power.
Basic Items Leather armor, 8 Bread, and a Soulbound Flimsy Journal (5 slots) with Chord Blast III and Rhapsody I.

Playstyle#

The Bard opens with Chord Blast from its starting book and learns more Sound spells from scrolls as it progresses. The +30% applies to every Sound spell. Like every mage class, it has no penalty with weapons, but it has no melee bonus either. The Mage skill tree's Sound school node is Bard.

Pairs well with#

  • High Elf: +50 max mana (multiplied by Magic Affinity) and +25% magic damage.
  • Faded: +30% Spell Power and more mana, at the cost of half its health; it can only take a mage class.
