Epic Combat
Epic Combat is a Prologue quest that introduces Epic Fight, the combat mod that gives Soulrend’s weapons their movesets, dodges and guards. Clicking its checkmark gives four Epic Fight skill books: two guard skills and two dodge skills.
Objectives#
Click the checkmark task, Combat Mode [R].
Epic Combat (Prologue)
Press [Middle-Button] (mouse) to lock-on to enemies
Press [Left-Alt] to perform a dodge roll or step
Press [Right-Click] (mouse) to guard against attack
With the special combat mode you will harness special weapon skills and use epic fighting movesets unique to gear, as well as being able to mine.

Right-click a skill book to learn its skill. See Combat Skill Books for the skill slots.
Walkthrough#
- Click the checkmark and collect the four books.
- Right-click the books to learn the skills you want to use.
- Practice the keys from the quest text: middle mouse to lock on, Left Alt to dodge, right mouse to guard.
Note
The quest names R as the combat mode key, but Soulrend’s default key bindings leave Epic Fight’s “switch mode” key unbound. Bind it in the Controls menu if it doesn’t respond.
