Explorer's Compass

The Explorer’s Compass quest (“Never be lost again!”) asks for an Explorer's Compass, a compass that can search for any structure by name. Many later quests start with “Find Structure”, so the compass is one of the most useful items in the pack. The quest comes after a short Diamond Pickaxe quest.

Requirements#

Diamond Pickaxe#

Diamond Pickaxe (“A trusty tool”) asks for a Diamond Pickaxe and gives 2 Diamonds and 1 Nether Quartz.

Diamond Pickaxe (Act I)

Of course you’ll end up needing a Diamond Pickaxe. How else are you gonna mine obsidian for your Nether Portal. You’ll have to earn the right to enter the Nether though!

The Nether is closed until the Seal of the Underworld in Act II.

  1. Craft a Diamond Pickaxe, then claim its two diamonds.

  3. Right-click the compass to pick a structure, and it points the way.

  • No quests depend on this one, but the compass is the fastest way to finish Act II’s “Find Structure” quests.
